Major Joshua W. Sedlock

A native of Naugatuck, Connecticut, Major Sedlock graduated from Sacred Heart University in 2006. He was commissioned in 2010 upon graduating with a Masters from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Upon graduating from The Basic School, he reported to MATSG-21 as a Student Naval Aviator and was subsequently assigned as an Adjutant.

After completion of MOS school, he was assigned to Education Command as the Staff Secretary (2013). He reported to The Basic School in which he served as the Adjutant, Manpower Officer, Instructor, and Headquarters Company Commander (2014-16).  Major Sedlock then reported to 6th Marine Regiment as the Adjutant (2016-18).  During this tour he deployed to Afghanistan with the first rotation of Task Force Southwest (17.2) in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel and Resolute Support Mission, serving as the AC/S J-1.

After returning from deployment, Major Sedlock attended Expeditionary Warfare School (2018-19) with a subsequent tour to U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Central Command.  During this tour he served in a variety of billets in the G-1, to include the Adjutant, Assistant Operations and Plans Officer, G-1 Forward (Bahrain), and the Manpower, Ops, and Plans Branch Head.  He was then appointed as the Commanding Officer, Headquarters Company (2021-22).
