AQABA, Jordan (May 28, 2014) Lieutenant Gen. Robert B. Neller, commander, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Central Command, walks up the ramp of the USNS 1st LT Baldomero Lopez for a ship’s tour with Brig. Gen. Ibrahim Al-Noamat, deputy commander, Royal Jordanian Naval Forces, along with more than 30 different general officers and military officials from five different continents. The Lopez, a maritime pre-positioning vessel was moored at the Royal Jordanian Naval Base for a four-day offload of military vehicles and gear in support of Exercise Eager Lion 2014. Eager Lion is a recurring, multinational exercise designed to strengthen military-to-military relationships, increase interoperability between partner nations and enhance regional security and stability.
