Marquez received the Purple Heart for injuries he sustained on 8 November 2004, during Operation PHANTOM FURY in Fallujah, Iraq. Marquez is currently assigned to Wounded Warrior Battalion, Tampa Detachment. Beydler is the commander of Marine Corps Forces Central Command.
