Who we are

MARCENT is designated as the Marine Corps service component for U.S. Central Command. MARCENT is responsible for all Marine Corps forces in the CENTCOM area of responsibility.

Commander, U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Central Command(COMUSMARCENT), as the U.S. Marine Corps Service Component Commander for Commander , U.S. Central Command (CDRUSCENTCOM), commands assigned, allocated, or attached Marine Corps, joint, and multinational forces as directed; conducts planning in support of CDRUSCENTCOM; advises CDRUSCENTCOM, component commanders, and Joint Task Force commanders on the proper employment of Marine corps forces; deploys, employs, redeploys, and sustains Marine Corps forces; and accomplishes assigned operational missions in order to meet Combatant Commander and Service requirements.
