NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY BAHRAIN (Jan. 24, 2019) U.S. Marines and Sailors with Naval Amphibious Force, Task Force 51/5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade, compete with British military service members during an athletic sporting event hosted to build camaraderie and teamwork between U.S. troops and British military counterparts. Our integrated U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps team train together while deployed with French forces aboard French amphibious assault ship LHD Tonnerre (L9014). Naval Amphibious Force, Task Force 51/5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade Sailors and Marines joined a multinational landing force consisting of French infantry, French Armored Cavalry and commandos from the United Arab Emirates' Presidential Guard. Throughout the deployment, TF 51/5 subordinate units with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force - Crisis Response - Central Command and a U.S. Navy Role 2 Light Maneuver (R2LM) medical team with surgical capability conducted amphibious and maritime security operations within U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. Marines with Special Purpose MAGTF - Crisis Response - Central Command took part in an emergency medicine technician course while deployed to the U.S. Central Command area of operations. The Marines who completed the course received their EMT basic certification

U.S Marines and Sailors with Headquarters and Support Company, Ground Combat Element, Special Purpose MAGTF - Crisis Response - Central Command, qualified with the service M9 pistol during a range conducted while in the Middle East. The purpose of this range was to improve marksmanship and lethality for future missions in the U.S. Central Command area operations.
