Our integrated U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps team train together while deployed with French forces aboard French amphibious assault ship LHD Tonnerre (L9014). Naval Amphibious Force, Task Force 51/5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade Sailors and Marines joined a multinational landing force consisting of French infantry, French Armored Cavalry and commandos from the United Arab Emirates' Presidential Guard. Throughout the deployment, TF 51/5 subordinate units with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force - Crisis Response - Central Command and a U.S. Navy Role 2 Light Maneuver (R2LM) medical team with surgical capability conducted amphibious and maritime security operations within U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. Marines with Special Purpose MAGTF - Crisis Response - Central Command took part in an emergency medicine technician course while deployed to the U.S. Central Command area of operations. The Marines who completed the course received their EMT basic certification

U.S Marines and Sailors with Headquarters and Support Company, Ground Combat Element, Special Purpose MAGTF - Crisis Response - Central Command, qualified with the service M9 pistol during a range conducted while in the Middle East. The purpose of this range was to improve marksmanship and lethality for future missions in the U.S. Central Command area operations.

Maintainers with Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 352, Special Purpose MAGTF - Crisis Response - Central Command provide maintenance to the KC-130J Super Hercules to ensure the aircraft is ready to support missions in the U.S. Central Command area of operations.

U.S. Marines deployed to the Middle East with Special Purpose MAGTF - Crisis Response - Central Command participated in a course led by members of the U.S. Navy to become certified as combat lifesavers. Having Marines certified as combat lifesavers enhances SPMAGTF's combat readiness in the U.S. Central Command area of operations.

The Marines of Inchon have assumed command of Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force - Crisis Response - Central Command. The command element of the 1st Marine Regiment is now at the helm of the SPMAGTF and are very proud to join U.S. Central Command and Naval Amphibious Forces, Task Force 51 and 5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade The Marines and Sailors of Inchon live by a set of "First Principles." The Marines practiced a “bulldogging” technique which consists of buddy rushing with the Humvees to suppress and attack the enemy. The purpose of this event was to train, sustain, and learn new skills.

Marines with the Special Purpose MAGTF - Crisis Response - Central Command recently used a new compound called "OPSDIRT" that hardens soil into a drivable surface. This could be used to create expeditionary airfields, helicopter landing zones and roads throughout the U.S. Central Command area of operations, improving coalition capabilities!

Tactical recovery of aircraft and personnel is a no-fail mission performed by SPMAGTF-CR-CC. The service members responsible for accomplishing this mission train regularly to stay proficient. To learn more about their mission and how they train for it watch the video below.

SPMAGTF CR-CC 17.2 Service members with Combat Logistics Detachment 1 conducted the casualty evacuation exercise to stay proficient in the triage, care and transportation of patients until they reach a higher echelon of care.

The helicopter support team provides a heavy lifting capability to the Marines and Sailors with SPMAGTF-CR-CC operating in remote locations to receive supplies quickly, expanding SPMAGTF-CR-CC's capability to support itself for longer periods in austere expeditionary environments.

U.S. Marines and Sailors with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Central Command, conduct a Reconnaissance, Surveillance, and Decontamination exercise with Marines specially trained in Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear defense while forward deployed in the Middle East on May 19, 2017.
