JABEL PETRA, JORDAN - Marines with Charlie Company and Weapons Company, Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, and Soldiers of the Lebanese Army conduct a live-fire, combined arms range, May 12, 2012, during Exercise Eager Lion 12, the largest annual exercise in the U.S. Central Command area of operations. Eager Lion 12 is scheduled to take place throughout the month of May and is designed to strengthen military-to-military relationships of more than 15 participating partner nations. This is the second major exercise for the 24th MEU who, along with the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group, is currently deployed to the Central Command area of operations as a theater reserve and crisis response force.
