170817-N-TB177-0440 MANAMA, Bahrain (August 17, 2017) From the right, Vice Adm. Kevin Donegan, Capt. Adan G. Cruz, Lt. Gen. Dave Beydler, and Brig. Gen. Francis Donovan cut a cake after the commissioning ceremony for the USS Lewis B. Puller (ESB 3). Puller is the first U.S ship to be commissioned outside the United States, and the ship's reclassification provides U.S. Central Command and 5th Fleet greater flexibility to better meet regional challenges.
